More great news – Big Lottery Fund supporting SPARC!

hi_big_e_blue.ashxSPARC are delighted to be able to announce that we have received funding from the Big Lottery Fund through their Awards for All programme. This funding enables us to provide a brand new music project entitled ‘sparc4music‘ that will provide therapeutic music workshops aimed at improving the mental health and well-being of participants.

The project aims to bring together people from a diverse range of backgrounds who experience mental health problems and will offer them the chance to learn new skills and develop their abilities in a safe and supportive environment while having fun, making new friends and building their self confidence.

There will be a range of activities on offer, including ‘singing for fun’ workshops and the opportunity for people to learn to play a range of musical instruments and use music recording technology. The project will be designed to tailor its activities to people of all ages and abilities.

We are really excited about this project and the opportunities it presents. Music is something that everyone can enjoy and participate in – it brings people together and can have a massive impact on their mental health and well-being

The Big Lottery Fund is the largest distributor of National Lottery good cause funding across the UK. The Fund aims to enable others to make real improvements to communities and the lives of people most in need.

We would like to thank the Big Lottery Fund for their support and look forward to developing ‘sparc4music‘ over the coming months.
