Great funding news for SPARC to start off the new year!

We are really pleased to have not one but two great pieces of funding news to kick start the new year!

Firstly, we have received some funding through Forever Manchester to support members of our ‘Hole in the Wall’ youth project to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme! Well done to Martina, who put the bid together and will be supporting the group, and big thanks to Forever Manchester/CDL for their support.

Garden photos 058We also received confirmation that we have been successful in a funding bid to the newly launched Equity Foundation, set up as part of Equity Housing’s 50th birthday celebrations. This funding will enable us to start a pilot green space project, SPARC4Growth, which will involve volunteers with mental health projects getting involved in gardening and green space activities. This should hopefully be the start of bigger things to come in the future and we are very excited about it! Again, huge thanks to the Equity Foundation for their support.

Let’s hope this is the start of great things for SPARC in 2013!
